Job summary

Gortmore Limited is seeking a Site Engineer for a Civils project in the Newcastle area. You will be responsible for setting out, dimensional control, and overseeing groundworks, drainage, ducting and RC structures.

The ideal candidate has experience on Civils projects, with strong knowledge of laser levels, total stations and GPS. You will monitor QA, read drawings, quantify materials and liaise with the site team to ensure works meet the latest design and specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience on Civils groundworks and drainage projects.
• Proficient with laser levels, total stations and GPS on site.
• Setting out and dimensional control to ensure accuracy.
• Competent in reading drawings and quantifying materials.
• Knowledge of QA procedures and ITP/KPI/RFI processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage project information to the site team.
• Ensure works adhere to latest design and client specifications.
• Maintain QA records and site diary accuracy.
• Communicate issues and resolutions clearly to colleagues.
• Carry out ITPs, KPI tracking and RFIs as required.

Gortmore are working for a leading contractor who are looking for a Site Engineer's on a Civil's project in the Newcastle area.

The candidate must:

• Have Previous experience working on Civils projects on groundworks, Drainage, Ducting, RC Structures etc.
• Must have excellent Knowledge of, Laser Levels, Total Stations and GPS's.
• Monitoring, manage, distribute project information to site team and ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control is being carried out.
• Ensure the works are constructed to latest design and agreed Specification.
• Ensure Project QA is being carried out and site diary is maintained.
• Must be competent in Auto Cad, reading drawings and quantifying materials.
• Carry out ITP's, KPI's, RFI's, etc.
• Have excellent communication skills and in distributing project information to work colleagues.
• Have excellent problem-solving capabilities and be able to raise any potential issues
