Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join an earthworks project based in Edinburgh, starting Monday 12th May. This is a 3–4 month contract with a well-established civil engineering contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for large-scale earthworks operations

• Managing QA documentation and as-built records

• Working closely with the site team to ensure accuracy and programme targets

• Liaising with machine operators and supervising subcontractors

• Use of GPS equipment (Trimble or Leica preferred)

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on earthworks or heavy civils projects

• Proficient with GPS equipment (ideally Trimble)

• CSCS card essential

• Right to work in the UK

• SMSTS or SSSTS (advantageous but not essential)
