Job Description:

My client is a powerhouse in Fintech international design, seeking a Platform Engineer to build and maintain highly available cloud data applications.

You will collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to integrate these applications within Payroc's ecosystem. Your responsibilities include defining platform standards for smooth deployments, ensuring platform stability and scalability through upgrades, and managing the data analytics platform.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with DevOps, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, and InfoSec teams for seamless application integration.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud data platform infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices and use Azure CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Partner with data management teams and stakeholders to align platform capabilities with requirements.
• Establish controls and monitoring to ensure system uptime and proactive operational maintenance.
• Plan and manage platform upgrades to enhance stability and security.
• Monitor and optimize platform performance, reliability, and security.
• Conduct security assessments and implement safeguards.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies for continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Platform Engineer or similar role.
• Proficient in deploying highly available cloud services (AWS or Azure).
• Strong understanding of IaC principles and tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep).
• Familiarity with cloud database technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).
• Knowledge of Linux and related tooling (e.g., Docker).
• Knowledge of data platform and/or data science tooling.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
