Job summary

Bachy Soletanche Limited is seeking an on-site Project/Contracts Manager to support day-to-day operational control of UK contracts, prioritising safety, quality, productivity and cost control.

You will oversee on-site technical, administrative and commercial duties, coordinate with Plant and Purchasing, and ensure work is performed safely, on schedule and within budget, reflecting our values.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering related degree, preferably with some geotechnical content.
• Knowledge of basic engineering techniques.
• Experience within civil engineering or construction field.
• Experience within the Piling and Foundations sector would be an advantage.
• Mini-piling experience preferred but not essential
• Full UK Driving Licence
• CSCS Card.
• Computer Literate including good working knowledge of Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• On-site management of projects covering the technical, administration and commercial aspects of the project.
• Prepare budgets to ensure that the job will return sufficient money and to ensure that there has been no shortfalls within the estimate.
• Programming of works.
• Prepare job specific method statements/contract plans.
• Liaise with Plant Department to organise plant requirements and date required.
• Liaise with purchasing on ordering materials for the various sites.
• Liaise with clients keeping them up to date on site works and any changes in costs/extension of time/extra work.
• Ensure that works are carried out safely and in accordance with the requirements.
• Monitoring and reporting on progress of the works.
• Checking of weekly costs and management of project budgets.
• Assist commercial team with respect of final accounts and weekly values.
• Ensure the Company’s core values are embedded in all decisions made and shape your behaviour.

The Role

To assist in the day-to-day operational site control of contracts within the UK, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, cost control, performance to programme and customer service.
