Job summary

Berkmann Wine Cellars is recruiting a Site Delivery Supervisor to lead our West Thurrock transport operation. You will coordinate dispatch, drive team performance and liaise with our 3PL partner to ensure timely wine deliveries across the region.

The role offers structured Monday–Friday hours (9:30–18:30) with no night shifts or weekend work, a comprehensive benefits package, and a clear path to first-line management. You will oversee recruitment, compliance and service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution operations role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and motivate team members.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and POD/delivery management systems.
• Good understanding of transport compliance, health & safety procedures, and operational risk management.
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points). CPC/O‑licence not essential.

Site Delivery Supervisor (Monday to Friday, 9:30–18:30)

Salary: up to £40,000 per annum

The Role

Berkmann Wine Cellars is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Delivery Supervisor to lead our busy West Thurrock transport operation and deliver exceptional service standards. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring first‑line managers looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will manage daily transport office activity and coordinate our delivery function through efficient dispatch and debrief processes for our 3.5T vans, working closely with drivers, customer service teams, and our third‑party logistics partner, London City Bond (LCB).

About You

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and POD/delivery management systems


• Excellent problem‑solving abilities with the capability to identify issues quickly and implement effective resolutions


• Solid geographical knowledge of Greater London


• A calm, professional approach under pressure with strong decision‑making capability


• An understanding of GDPR and confidentiality practices


• Good understanding of transport compliance, health & safety procedures, and operational risk management


• A full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)


• CPC/O‑licence not essential

Working Pattern

• 9.30am – 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.


• No night shifts or weekend working required
