Job summary

Thorn Baker Facilities Management is seeking an experienced Cleaning Manager for a single leisure site in Belfast. You will own the cleaning operation, lead a team, and partner with the client to drive high standards and performance.

The role is permanent, with 30–35 hours per week and a focus on hands-on leadership, site presentation, and customer satisfaction. Flexible shifts include early starts, evenings, weekends, and banked hours for coverage.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Cleaning Manager, Site Manager, Supervisor or similar role.
• Experience managing cleaning teams.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Flexible to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day cleaning operation across the leisure site.
• Lead, motivate and support the cleaning team.
• Plan rotas and ensure staffing levels.
• Carry out regular quality checks and site inspections.
• Maintain high cleaning and presentation standards.
• Manage client relationships and respond to requirements.
• Monitor KPIs and service standards.
• Support recruitment, training and onboarding of staff.
• Manage absence and ensure adequate cover.
• Ensure Health & Safety and company procedures compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve standards, efficiency and customer experience.
