Job summary

Qualifications

• Supervisory or team leadership experience in facilities management or cleaning operations.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and cleaning best practices.
• Strong organisational and time-keeping skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent people skills and ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Proficiency with cleaning management systems (desirable).
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one (desirable).
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainable cleaning practices (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and manage a team of cleaning operatives to required standards.
• Schedule and allocate cleaning tasks across areas and shifts.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify quality and compliance.
• Enforce health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
• Maintain records of schedules, attendance and equipment maintenance.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; monitor expenditure.
• Provide induction and ongoing training to staff; support development.
• Liaise with management and clients to address cleaning needs and issues.
• Prepare reports on operations, performance metrics, and incidents.
