Job summary

Balfour Beatty VINCI is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for on-site work around Birmingham, joining the Commercial team. The role supports commercial aspects of HS2 construction, requiring strong knowledge of contracts, insurance, and legal processes, with a focus on client relationships.

Ideal candidates will hold a Quantity Surveying degree and have civils/infrastructure project experience, plus proficient Excel and MS Office skills. A current UK right to work is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying required.
• Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB desired.
• Experience in civils/infrastructure projects advised.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to a Project Manager or Commercial Manager for commercial aspects of a section of a project.
• In-depth knowledge of contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes.
• Effective client relationship management to encourage smooth commercial progression of the contract(s).
• Works closely with the delivery team to develop techniques and solutions to meet business and customer needs.
