Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a site-based role in Brighton, overseeing a £10m cancer treatment facility from start to finish.
You will manage the programme, coordinate the new build, civils and fit-out packages, maintain client relationships, and drive delivery with a permanent role possible beyond this project.
The role requires a strong track record on multi-million pound projects, CSCS/SMSTS and First Aid, with a proactive, accountable approach.
If you are an experienced Project Manager who enjoys having real ownership of a project, this could be a very good next move for you.
You will be site based on a £10m new build cancer treatment facility in Brighton, taking responsibility for the project from start to finish. It is a sizeable and technically interesting scheme, covering everything from the initial new build and £2m civils package through to the final fit out.
You will need to be confident dealing with the client, making decisions on site and keeping the project moving without needing someone looking over your shoulder. There will be a visiting Contracts Manager for support, although you will be the person accountable for the day to day delivery of the project.
The role is paying around £60,000 to £70,000 plus package, with the opportunity to stay with the business beyond this project as they have further work coming through across the South.
You will need a strong track record as a Project Manager, ideally having delivered multi million pound construction projects from start to finish.
You will need:
You need to be someone who is driven, organised and comfortable taking accountability for the successful delivery of a project.
You will take responsibility for the day to day management and delivery of the £10m project in Brighton.
You will manage the construction process from start to finish, coordinating the new build works, civils package, subcontractors and fit out through to completion.
A big part of the role will be managing the programme and making sure it remains realistic and achievable. You will need to identify issues early, make decisions and keep everyone focused on the delivery plan.
You will also be the key person on site when it comes to client communication, so being comfortable building relationships and having commercially sensible conversations is important.
The project is expected to run for around nine months, although this is not being offered as a nine month contract. The business has further projects planned across the South and is looking for someone they can retain and develop on a permanent basis.
This is an established construction business delivering sizeable projects across the UK, with experience across new build, refurbishment, civils and fit out.
They have a strong pipeline of work coming through in the South, which is why they are looking to bring an experienced Project Manager into the team on a permanent basis rather than simply filling a short term requirement.
You will have the support of a visiting Contracts Manager, while still having genuine ownership of your project and the opportunity to make a real impact on its delivery.
For someone who wants responsibility, enjoys being close to the construction process and wants the security of a permanent position with further projects ahead, it is a role worth having a conversation about.
A CV isn't needed to start a conversation, so no matter what stage you're at in your job search, get in touch to discuss.
