Walker & Sloan is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead technically demanding projects across the North West, North East and Scotland. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, drive safety, quality and programme performance, and act as the face of the company on site.
You'll coordinate subcontractors, manage deliveries and liaise with clients and consultants to keep projects on track. A strong background in specialist interiors, healthcare or clean environments is beneficial.
Location: North West, North East & Scotland
Sector: Specialist Construction
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join one of the UK's leading specialist contractors, delivering technically demanding projects across the North West, North East and Scotland. Working on a variety of live projects including cleanrooms, cold storage facilities, fire-rated construction and specialist refurbishment schemes, you'll be responsible for leading site operations from start to finish. No two projects are quite the same, giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience whilst working within sectors where quality and attention to detail are absolutely critical.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong reputation for delivering specialist environments for blue-chip clients across the UK.
As Site Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of your projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme and to the exceptionally high standards expected by both the business and its clients.
You'll be leading subcontractors on site, coordinating deliveries, managing health and safety and ensuring each stage of the construction programme progresses efficiently. Working closely with the wider project team, you'll identify potential issues early, maintain strong communication with clients and ensure quality remains at the forefront throughout every phase of the build.
You'll also become the face of the company on site, building positive relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors whilst maintaining a well-organised, professional working environment. Whether you're delivering a highly controlled cleanroom installation or managing complex fire compartmentation works, you'll have the support of an experienced team behind you whilst being trusted to run your own projects.
This role offers genuine variety, regular travel across your region and the opportunity to work on specialist projects that most contractors simply don't deliver.
You'll already have experience managing construction sites and enjoy taking ownership of projects from start to finish. You're organised, proactive and capable of making decisions that keep projects moving whilst maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.
You'll be comfortable coordinating subcontractors, communicating with clients and ensuring programmes are delivered successfully. Previous experience within specialist interiors, industrial, healthcare, cleanrooms, cold storage or fire protection would certainly be advantageous, although candidates from wider construction backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Ideally, you'll hold SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications, together with a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel throughout your allocated region.
This specialist contractor has been delivering technically challenging projects across the UK for decades, developing an outstanding reputation within sectors including pharmaceutical, healthcare, food production, defence and advanced manufacturing.
With a strong order book, long-standing client relationships and continued investment across the business, they offer genuine job security alongside opportunities to progress into more senior operational roles.
