Job summary

Kier Group in Brixworth is seeking a Major Projects Construction Manager to lead and manage a portfolio of civil engineering schemes across Northants and the East Midlands. The role is site-based in Brixworth, with full-time hours and a salary up to £62,000 plus a car allowance, private healthcare and benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering and professional certifications.
• Proven experience as Principal Contractor under CDM Regulations and NEC contracts.
• Track record delivering highway renewal, maintenance and improvement schemes.
• Strong knowledge of MCHW and DMRB highways standards.
• Effective communicator and leader with stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing construction works in accordance with contract requirements and programme milestones.
• Fulfilling Principal Contractor duties under CDM Regulations and NEC4 contract conditions.
• Leading the implementation and ongoing management of the Construction Phase Plan and monitoring performance.
• Chairing regular project meetings with clients, senior management, contractors and site teams.
• Overseeing site operations, managing contractor performance and promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
