Job summary

Kier Group in Northamptonshire is seeking a Highway Development Management Site Inspector for the Brixworth area. The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) with some home working, focusing on overseeing highway works for adoption by the local authorities.

The successful candidate will have civil engineering experience, an HNC/HND or equivalent qualification, and be able to manage multiple projects while coordinating with developers, contractors and authorities.

Qualifications

• This role requires civil engineering knowledge and highway construction experience.
• Experience with Section 38 and Section 278 agreements is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety and CDM regulations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Inspect developer and contractor works for compliance with approved designs and legal agreements.
• Identify non-compliant works, propose corrective actions and monitor progress.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure traffic management requirements are met.
• Collaborate with developers, contractors, designers and technical teams to resolve issues.
