Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering, highways, construction or infrastructure with HNC/HND or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of highway construction and inspection processes, including Section 38 and Section 278 agreements.
• Knowledge of Safety at Street Works and CDM regulations.
• Ability to manage workloads, priorities and multiple projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting developer and contractor works to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications and legal agreements.
• Identifying non-compliant works, agreeing corrective actions and monitoring completion.
• Promoting safe working practices and ensuring traffic management requirements are met.
• Working closely with developers, contractors, designers and technical teams to resolve issues and agree design changes.
• Maintaining accurate inspection records, reports and project documentation.
