Job summary

MP Jobs Ltd t/a MP Recruitment Group in Oxfordshire is seeking a hands-on Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Engineer to own maintenance across 50+ pieces of laboratory and production equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment.

This site-based role combines fault-finding with preventative maintenance, coordinating specialist repairs, and ensuring equipment remains safe and reliable, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in field service, equipment maintenance or engineering.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience of preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Good organisational, communication and record-keeping skills.
• A sound understanding of Health & Safety.
• Desirable: Laboratory, manufacturing or facilities maintenance experience.
• Desirable: Knowledge of ISO 13485 or GMP.
• Desirable: HVAC, cleanroom or calibration experience.
• Desirable: IOSH qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across laboratory, production and facilities equipment.
• Diagnose faults, resolve issues and coordinate specialist repairs.
• Manage servicing, calibration and maintenance schedules.
• Arrange and oversee external contractors and specialist engineers.
• Maintain equipment records, asset registers, service documentation and maintenance tickets.
• Support equipment validation, verification and qualification activities.
• Identify improvements to equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
• Promote Health & Safety and ensure compliance with relevant procedures.
