We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, responsible for ensuring that plant, machinery, and equipment meet agreed standards of operation, with a key focus on preventative maintenance scheduling.
Based at our client's head office in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, this is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You'll ensure our equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, with a strong focus on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and minimising unplanned downtime. You'll be responsible for maintenance schedules, critical spares, tools, and servicing requirements, while working closely with Production, Facilities, Safety and Engineering teams.
You'll respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement preventative measures to keep equipment performing at its best. Just as importantly, You'll identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency, safety, quality, and waste performance, helping us build a culture of continuous improvement.
We're looking for someone with proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, ideally within welding, fabrication, or a similarly demanding manufacturing environment. You'll have strong electrical fault-finding skills, PLC diagnostics experience and practical knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics. Experience implementing PPM schedules and improving overall equipment effectiveness is essential. Experience servicing and repairing CNC cutting equipment and welding robots would be a significant advantage.
