Job summary

Kier Places in Reading is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the project team on site, helping maximise margins through careful contract administration and subcontract control while identifying and mitigating commercial risks.

You will work closely with site teams and clients, communicate clearly across multidisciplinary groups, manage documentation, invoicing, and cashflow, and use IT tools including Microsoft Office to keep records accurate.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting commercial aspects of construction projects.
• Ability to measure and value works and assist with invoicing.
• Good communication with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Competence with IT tools, especially Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quantity Surveyor with contract administration and records.
• Support measurement, valuation and invoicing processes.
• Help manage cashflow and supplier payments.
• Support development of commercial relationships with clients and subcontractors.
