Job summary

COLAS ROADS UK is seeking a proactive Site Agent to oversee carriageway and footway contracts across the UK. You will manage client expectations, ensure quality, safety and environmental standards, and work within budget targets with regular travel to sites.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in a similar role, with NVQ3 Highway Maintenance or ONC. A full driving licence is essential; NRSWA, 12D Supervisor, SMSTS or SSSTS are desirable.

Qualifications

• At least three years in a similar Site Agent role.
• NVQ3 Highway Maintenance or ONC preferred.
• Full driving licence essential.
• Desirable: NRSWA, 12D Supervisor, SMSTS/SSSTS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of carriageway and footway contracts across the UK.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and management.
• Monitor budgets, margins, and reports; manage warranties and client expectations.
• Ensure safety via toolbox talks and COSHH/Chapter 8 compliance; investigate incidents.
