Job summary

Colas Ltd is seeking a Site Agent to oversee carriageway and footway projects across the UK. You will manage site teams, coordinate resources and ensure quality, safety, and environmental compliance within budget.

Travel across sites and strong client liaison are expected. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in a similar role, NVQ3 Highway Maintenance or ONC, a full driving licence and desirable certifications such as NRSWA, 12D Supervisor, SMSTS or SSSTS.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
• NVQ3 Highway Maintenance or ONC qualification.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Desirable certifications include NRSWA, 12D Supervisor, SMSTS or SSSTS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracts and supervise site activities for carriageway and footway works.
• Coordinate manpower, plant, vehicles and materials while monitoring budgets.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety observations and incident investigations.
• Track wages, outputs and reports, and review contracts weekly for margins.
• Ensure COSHH, Chapter 8 compliance and maintain client communications.
