Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a proactive Site Agent to oversee the efficient delivery of carriageway and footway contracts across the UK. You will manage client expectations, ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards, and work within financial limits to achieve budget targets. Frequent travel and close coordination with site teams, subcontractors, and management will be essential.

Main Responsibilities

You will supervise contracts, coordinate manpower, plant, vehicles, and materials to ensure smooth, safe operations. Key duties include providing clear instructions to foremen, completing necessary reports and accounts input, agreeing final measures with clients, and reviewing contracts weekly to monitor budgets and margins. Ensuring safety through toolbox talks, compliance with COSHH and Chapter 8 requirements, completing safety observations, and supporting accident investigations will be fundamental. Commercially, you will track wages, outputs, vehicle reports, and help promote specialist surface treatments to grow the business. Ad hoc tasks may be assigned by your line manager.
