Job summary

Barhale is seeking a Site Agent/Manager to oversee multiple civil and water sector projects in Barrow-in-Furness. You will manage site operations, ensure quality, programme adherence, and strong commercial performance while upholding health, safety and environmental standards.

Working with Contracts/Project Managers, you will coordinate engineers and surveyors, drive RAMS/ITP processes, and lead teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civil Engineering and as a Site Agent delivering projects in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM, Design Management, Programme and Cost Control.
• Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes in general civil engineering.
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• CSCS mandatory.
• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS.
• Temporary Works Coordinator.
• Confined space training.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Ability to challenge designs and lead the team in line with company values.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for successful delivery of various Civil and Water sector projects.
• Deliver work to specified quality and programme.
• Lead Sub Agents, Engineers and Foremen to safe, defect-free delivery.
• Produce and manage Project Plans, RAMS, ITP and Waste Management Plans.
• Maximise contract value and maintain records.
• Chair weekly site meetings and provide monthly Client reports.
