Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Site Agent to manage multiple civil engineering projects across Central Scotland for a leading contractor. The role focuses on Scottish Water, deep drainage and underground infrastructure, delivering safely on programme and to quality standards.

You will lead site teams and subcontractors, plan labour, plant and materials, monitor progress and report to senior management while supporting commercial variations and client liaison.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering background with relevant qualification.
• Experience on Scottish Water or water-sector projects.
• Experience in deep drainage and underground utilities.
• Proven ability to manage site teams and subcontractors and drive safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple civil projects on time, within budget and to high quality.

Site Agent

Central Scotland Permanent 50,000- 65,000 + package

An established civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to manage multiple projects across Central Scotland.

The company is also interested in hearing from Senior Engineers or Sub-Agents looking to step up into a Site Agent role.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering projects, with a particular focus on Scottish Water, deep drainage and underground infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple sites, site teams and subcontractors.
• Planning and coordinating labour, plant and materials.
• Delivering projects safely, on programme and to the required quality.
• Managing deep drainage, sewerage, pipelines and associated infrastructure.
• Liaising with clients, engineers and subcontractors.
• Monitoring progress, resolving site issues and reporting to senior management.
• Supporting commercial management and variations.

About You

We are looking for candidates with a strong civil engineering background and experience in:

• Scottish Water or similar water-sector projects.
• Deep drainage and underground utilities.
• Managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Working from drawings, specifications and programmes.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety.

A relevant engineering qualification is preferred. Experience in pipelines, sewerage, tunnelling or water infrastructure would be advantageous.

• 50,000- 65,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
