Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a major civils infrastructure project in Galashiels. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring safety, quality and programme adherence.

The role requires proven civil engineering site experience, strong leadership and proactive problem-solving. SMSTS and CSCS qualifications are expected, with opportunities for both permanent and freelance engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Agent / Senior Site Supervisor in civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, temporary works and site management.
• Experience on large-scale civils, utilities, highways, rail or infrastructure projects.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Agent to join the delivery team on a major civils infrastructure project in Galashiels.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects, looking to take responsibility for the successful delivery of site activities.

The Role

As Site Agent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of works on site, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards.

• Managing site operations and coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
• Planning and sequencing works to meet programme requirements.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with RAMS and project specifications.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience working on large-scale civils, utilities, highways, rail or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
• Relevant industry qualifications, with SMSTS and a suitable site safety qualification expected.
• CSCS or equivalent industry certification.
