Job summary

Pure Tech Recruitment seeks a Site Agent for a design-and-build water/wastewater framework in Thames Valley. You will oversee daily delivery, work with project teams, manage documentation and ensure safety and quality across schemes £5m–£100m.

Applicants should have a Civil Engineering degree and experience in water/sewage sectors; CSCS and health & safety qualifications are advantageous. UK-wide opportunities offered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day project execution, coordinating with Works Managers, Project Managers, site teams and clients.
• Prepare documentation prior to installation phases.
• Carry out risk assessments and method statements for activities.
• Supervise engineering resources to ensure contract compliance and controls.
• Support Project Manager with cost control, value forecasting and programmes.

Job description

Our client is a leading main contracting Civil Engineering and Construction company, delivering design-and-build projects with clients in the water treatment sector across the UK.

They require a Site Agent to join their delivery team for a design and build water/wastewater treatment framework in the Thames Valley region with projects ranging from £5m - over £100m. You will be joining a growing collaborative team with a great reputation in the UK Civil Engineering industry.

As Site Agent, ideally you will have previous non-infrastructure water experience, but they could consider candidates from a heavy civil/construction design and build background who has worked on large scale projects.

Responsibilities:

• The Site Agent will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of projects, working closely with Works Managers, Project Managers, site teams and clients to ensure schemes are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially.


• Preparation of all relevant documentation prior to the commencement of the installation phase of contracts.


• Risk Assessments and Method Statements for activities being undertaken by directly employed resources.


• Manage, supervise and mentor engineering resource to ensure compliance with the contract drawings, specification and ensuring effective implementation of all engineering controls.


• Support the Project Manager with controlling costs, forecasting value and the production of programmes.

Experience required.

• Previous experience working as a Site Agent or similar within Civil Engineering.


• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering.


• Demonstrable experience of working within the water and / or sewage industries (preferred).


• Strong civil engineering background with solid knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.


• Relevant H&S qualifications (IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management, A relevant CSCS card, First Aid training and EUSR).


• Good understanding of commercial and contractual aspects.

Salary & Benefits
