Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Site Agent for the Thames Water Maple Cross project at Maple Lodge. You will lead a critical section of works, ensuring safe, on-time delivery while coordinating with site teams and subcontractors to meet project milestones.

The role requires a civil engineering degree or equivalent experience, CSCS card, and strong communication skills. A driving licence and proficiency with standard software are essential to drive project success.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree (or demonstrable equivalent) in civil engineering.
• Practical experience on infrastructure or wastewater construction projects with engineering assurance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications and design packages.
• CSCS card and full driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and construction-related software.

We’re looking for a Site Agent to join our Thames Water team based in Maple Cross.

Location: Maple Cross, Rickmansworth
Hours: Perm, full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join us as a Site Agent on one of Thames Water's most significant infrastructure upgrades at Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works. This major scheme will play a vital role in increasing treatment capacity, improving environmental performance and strengthening long‑term resilience for the region. It's an opportunity to be part of a high‑profile project that combines complex civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineering challenges with meaningful outcomes for customers, communities and the environment. This is a rare chance to take ownership of a critical section of works on a project designed for the future.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Site Agent, you'll be working within the Thames Water team, supporting them in delivering exceptional outcomes on this major infrastructure project. Your day to day will include:

• Leading the safe and efficient execution of a key section of works, creating a culture where health, safety and wellbeing are at the heart of every decision
• Inspiring and empowering site teams, supply chain partners and subcontractors to deliver outstanding results through collaboration and shared purpose
• Driving programme performance through proactive planning and effective resource management, ensuring milestones are achieved
• Translating complex design information into practical delivery solutions, providing clear direction and technical leadership to site teams
• Coaching and supporting the development of engineers and supervisors, helping to build the next generation of industry talent

What are we looking for?

This role of Site Agent is great for you if:

• You have an HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree (or demonstrable equivalent experience) in civil engineering discipline
• You have practical experience working on infrastructure or wastewater construction projects, with a focus on engineering assurance
• You have the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications and design packages
• You hold a valid CSCS card and Full driving licence
• You have excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and construction‑related software
