Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Site Agent for our Thames Valley wastewater construction activities, based on-site in Forest Hill, Oxfordshire. You will lead daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors and labour to deliver on time, to budget, and to high standards of quality and safety.

The role requires a civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND or degree) and a track record of managing complex infrastructure projects. A CSCS card and a full driving licence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and adherence to design specifications.
• Manage subcontractors and direct labour to meet programme milestones and drive performance.
• Act as the main point of contact for site-based technical issues and escalation as needed.
• Monitor progress, record site data and input into project reporting and commercial forecasting.
• Promote compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation including CDM Regulations.

We’re looking for a Site Agent to join our Thames Valley team based in the Thames Valley on site in Forest Hill.

Location: Forest Hill, Oxfordshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Site Agent to join our expanding team within the wastewater construction sector. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of site operations, ensuring works are executed on time, to budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will provide critical leadership across site activities, driving construction performance, coordinating site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring alignment with programme objectives and stakeholder expectations across Thames Water's wastewater infrastructure portfolio.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Site Agent, you'll be working within the Thames Valley team, supporting them in the successful delivery of wastewater construction works, in line with programme, cost, and quality benchmarks. Your day to day will include:

• Leading and coordinating day-to-day site operations, ensuring all construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications
• Managing subcontractors and direct labour to meet programme milestones, driving performance and accountability across the delivery team
• Acting as the key point of contact for site-based technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where appropriate
• Monitoring progress, recording site data, and providing accurate input into project reporting and commercial forecasting
• Promoting and maintaining adherence to environmental, health, and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations

What are we looking for?

This role of Site Agent is great for you if:

• You hold an HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree (or demonstrable equivalent experience) in civil engineering or a construction-related discipline
• You have proven experience delivering complex infrastructure or wastewater projects, with a strong focus on time, cost, and quality performance
• You have excellent site management capabilities with sound knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and safe systems of work, supported by possession of a valid CSCS card
• You possess strong leadership, organisational, and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to drive performance on-site and build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
• You hold a Full driving licence to facilitate travel across project locations
