Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking a Sub Agent for Civils Infrastructure based in Derby. You will support the Site Agent, supervise subcontractors and coordinate site operations to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role requires experience in civil projects, a relevant qualification, and a proactive team player mindset. Opportunities exist on major civils, utilities and infrastructure schemes with potential permanent or freelance arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sub Agent, Section Engineer or Site Engineer in civil infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage site operations and deliver to programme.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and site safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Agent with management of site operations.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and site teams.
• Plan and sequence works to the project programme.
• Ensure works follow RAMS, drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress and report against programme.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Assist with site records, inspections and quality documentation.
• Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve construction issues.
• Assist Site Agent with planning, coordination and project delivery.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Agent and wider project team, you will support the day-to-day management and delivery of construction activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, to programme and in accordance with the required quality standards.

• Supporting the Site Agent with the management of site operations.
• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
• Planning and sequencing works in line with the project programme.
• Ensuring works are undertaken in accordance with RAMS, drawings and specifications.
• Monitoring progress and reporting against programme.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Assisting with site records, inspections and quality documentation.
• Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Identifying and resolving construction issues.
• Supporting the Site Agent with planning, coordination and project delivery.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience working as a Sub Agent, Section Engineer or Site Engineer within civil engineering/infrastructure.
• A relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience working on major civils, utilities, highways, rail or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and site delivery.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively within a project team.
• SMSTS and relevant site safety qualifications.
• CSCS or equivalent industry certification.
