Job summary

RTL Group is seeking a Site Agent to lead a long-term tunnelling project in Cambridge with an immediate start. The candidate will manage day-to-day site operations, supervise subcontractors and oversee underground civils works, with strong focus on safety and programme delivery.

Ideal applicants will have extensive tunnelling experience, strong civil engineering background, full UK driving licence, and certification such as CSCS (Black/Gold) and SMSTS.

My client are a specialist civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Agent to help deliver a long-term tunnelling project in Cambridge, with an immediate start available. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Agent with a strong underground civils and tunnelling background. Tunnelling Site Agent Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Supervising subcontractors and site teams
• Managing tunnelling and underground works
• Toolbox talks
• Client and stakeholder liaison
• Health and safety compliance
• Managing RAMS, permits and temporary works
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
• Monitoring quality and maintaining site records

  Black or Gold CSCS
• SMSTS
• Strong tunnelling experience is essential
• Previous experience managing underground civils, shafts or tunnelling works
• Strong civil engineering background
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Good understanding of temporary works and deep excavations
• Full UK driving licence
