At the Princess of Wales Hospital we are continually striving to improve patients' experiences and outcomes.
Our Respiratory service on Ward 10/Ward 18 provides treatment and care for a variety of patients with both acute and long term conditions.
The Ward incorporates a 6 bedded High Care bay where we provide Non Invasive Ventilation for acute conditions, often pre and post Critical Care.
We have strong links with both the hospital and community Respiratory Nurse Specialists to promote continuity in person centred care.
The applicant will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and will need to provide evidence of continuous professional development.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our service as Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse.
You will need to be able to provide leadership in the clinical area, ensuring the delivery of high quality nursing care.
The successful candidate will be a team player, be able to manage and organise their area and most importantly, have quality and patient safety at the heart of all they do. The applicant will have the energy, commitment and desire to develop nurses in a multi-disciplinary setting.
Experience in respiratory care is essential and competency in managing NIV would be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and experience in Respiratory medicine further.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
