The post holder will work closely with the Team Leader/Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, Deputy Team Leader/Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, and multidisciplinary team members to monitor and maintain excellent clinical standards of nursing practice and staff development.
The post holder will be responsible for the continuing professional development and overall performance of staff by acting as a mentor and preceptor.
Where applicable, the post holder will take charge of the team/ward/department on a regular basis.
The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant and specialised forms of care without direct supervision, demonstrate procedures, supervise registered and/or unregistered staff, and maintain a safe working environment.
The post holder will be flexible in approach and provide cover for any specified clinical area.
