Job summary

Our Wimborne site in Dorset, part of Eaton Mission Systems, is seeking a Performance Engineer to join the Simulation, Modelling & Performance team. You will model air-to-air refuelling and weapons carriage systems across life-cycle stages, from concept to in-service, integrating with customer and supplier models and supporting tests.

You will perform first-principles calculations and co-simulations, working with real-time hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop techniques.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant engineering or physics discipline.
• 0-5 years’ experience in a related role.

Responsibilities

• Model products at all stages of the life cycle from concept through to in-service.
• First principle hand calculations up to complex co-simulations of multiple integrated systems.
• Real-time, hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop modelling.
• Integration with customer and supplier models.
• Component, system, ground and flight test support.
• Detailed analysis of large data sets to confirm performance, validate models and solve problems.
