Job summary

Eaton Mission Systems Division in Wimborne (Dorset) is seeking a Performance Engineer to join the Simulation, Modelling & Performance team. You will model air-to-air refuelling and weapons carriage systems across the life cycle, using real-time, hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop techniques to support current products and influence future developments.

You will work with customer and supplier models, perform detailed data analysis, and apply first-principle calculations to debug

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant engineering or physics discipline.
• 0-5 years’ experience in a related role.

Responsibilities

• Model products across the life cycle from concept through in-service.
• First principles hand calculations to co-simulations of multiple integrated systems.
• Real-time, hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop modelling.
• Integration with customer and supplier models.
• Component, system, ground and flight test support.
• Detailed analysis of large data sets to confirm performance, validate models and solve problems.
