Job summary

The Best Connection is currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Wolverhampton for experienced Sign Makers to join a busy production team. This is a long-term temporary opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position for reliable and hardworking candidates.

The Twilight shift runs Monday to Friday, 4:00pm–12:00am, with on-site training provided. You will operate printers, CNC routers, guillotines and related machinery, read technical drawings, measure accurately and pack

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating production machinery (essential).
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• The ability to read technical drawings.
• Good numerical skills and the ability to measure accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Flexibility to complete an initial training period on day shifts before transferring to the permanent twilight shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of production machinery, including printers, CNC routers, guillotines and CNC machines.
• Carrying out basic assembly work using hand tools.
• Reading and working from technical drawings.
• Measuring accurately using a tape measure.
• Producing products to a consistently high standard.
• Packing finished goods ready for dispatch.
• Working to production schedules and quality standards.
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
• Manual handling and lifting where required.

The Role

As a Sign Maker, you'll be responsible for producing products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your duties will include:

• Operating a range of production machinery, including:
  • Printers
  • CNC Routers
  • Guillotines
  • CNC Machines
• Carrying out basic assembly work using hand tools
• Reading and working from technical drawings
• Measuring accurately using a tape measure
