Job summary

Kairos Recruitment is recruiting for a Sign Maker in Trafford Park, Manchester. This is a full-time permanent role with a 30,000 basic salary plus overtime paid at time and a half, working Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:00pm.

You will help build a brand-new production department, manufacturing a variety of bespoke signage and supporting the growth of in-house capabilities. An exciting opportunity to shape the department from the ground up.

The Role

As a Sign Maker, you’ll be responsible for manufacturing a wide variety of bespoke signage while helping the business expand its in‑house production offering.

Your duties will include:

• Manufacturing and assembling a range of commercial signage
• Producing illuminated lightboxes
• Fabricating acrylic signage
• Manufacturing built‑up letters
• General sign making and fabrication
• Maintaining high quality standards throughout production
• Working closely with the wider team to develop new manufacturing capabilities as the department grows

This is a fantastic opportunity to have genuine input into how the production department develops, with the chance to broaden the range of products manufactured in‑house over time.

About You

To be successful, you’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience working within a signage production or sign‑making environment
• Experience manufacturing commercial signage from start to finish
• Knowledge of working with acrylics, aluminium, built‑up letters and general fabrication techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work
• The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
• A positive attitude with a genuine desire to help build and grow a successful production department
