Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for a Machine Operator in Wolverhampton. The role involves operating a range of production machinery in a fast-paced environment, reading drawings, and ensuring products meet high quality standards. The position offers a long-term temporary opportunity with potential permanent placement.

Twilight shift: 4:00pm - 12:00am, Monday to Friday. Training on day shifts is available before transferring to the permanent twilight shift.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Good numeracy and accurate measurement skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to train on day shifts before moving to twilight shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery including printers, CNC routers, guillotines and CNC machines.
• Carry out basic assembly using hand tools.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Measure products accurately with a tape measure.
• Pack finished goods and support production schedules.
• Maintain a safe, organized working environment.
• Manual handling as required.

The Best Connection is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established client in Wolverhampton. We are looking for experienced Machine Operators to join a busy production team manufacturing high-quality products

This is an excellent long-term temporary opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position for reliable and hardworking candidates.

Pay Rate

• £12.71 per hour

Working Hours

Permanent Twilight Shift

• Monday to Friday
• 4:00pm - 12:00am

The Role

As a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your duties will include:

• Operating a range of production machinery, including:
  • Printers
  • CNC Routers
  • Guillotines
  • CNC Machines
• Carrying out basic assembly work using hand tools
• Reading and working from technical drawings
• Measuring accurately using a tape measure
• Producing products to a consistently high standard
• Packing finished goods ready for dispatch
• Working to production schedules and quality standards
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
• Manual handling and lifting where required

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Previous experience operating production machinery (essential)
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• The ability to read technical drawings
• Good numerical skills and the ability to measure accurately
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Flexibility to complete an initial training period on day shifts before transferring to the permanent twilight shift
