Job summary

Prospex Recruitment is seeking a skilled Sign Maker in Cardiff to join a busy production team. The successful candidate will work across vinyl application, large format print, and sign fabrication, with responsibility for LEDs and general assembly in a fast-paced setting.

You will need experience in signage, familiarity with Roland and Mimaki printers, and the ability to interpret briefs from drawings while maintaining a clean, safe workshop. A motivated, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in signage and large format print production.
• Ability to work with hand tools and be technically minded.
• Self-motivated and driven; able to interpret briefs and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Apply vinyl and large format prints to surfaces.
• Back up fret-cut aluminium fascia’s and fabricate extrusions.
• Populate and wire LEDs where required and assemble components.
• Operate large format printers (Roland, Mimaki) and perform print finishing.
• Fabricate built-up letters and aluminium signs.
• Wire electrical components and ensure safe electrical connections.
• Operate machinery and maintain quality checks throughout production.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and adhere to processes.
• Interpret briefs and drawings accurately to meet specifications.

Role: Our client is looking for a talented Sign Maker to join their production team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to build a successful career with a growing and progressive company.

As a skilled Sign Maker, you will be responsible for vinyl and large format print application, backing up fret-cut aluminium fascia's, extrusion fabrication, acrylic fabrication, populating and wiring LEDs and general assembly duties. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will need to have good physical strength and stamina, a strong work ethic, and be willing to assist other team members whenever necessary.

• Experience within various types of signage i.e. acrylic, vinyl, fascia's, LED's etc.
• Fabricating built up letters, operating letter bending machine, aluminium letter building
• Operating Large Format Printers such as Roland, Mimaki
