Job summary

Queen Alexandra Charity seeks a Sight Village Events Co-Ordinator to support planning, development and delivery of annual Sight Village events across the UK. You will assist with organization, administration, health & safety, and customer relationship activities for sponsors, exhibitors and visitors.

The role involves planning, marketing material production, partner campaigns, and overnight travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a marketing, communications, events, and relationship management environment.
  • Must hold a full, clean driving license.
  • Experience in planning and delivering events.
  • Experience in building relationships with a variety of organisations and/or individuals.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present confidently to a variety of audiences and adapt approach to best meet the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure sometimes in challenging situations.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to unexpected requests, prioritise work to meet deadlines, targets and budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with a friendly and professional approach, both internally and externally.
  • Flexible approach to work with a ‘can-do’ attitude – must be willing to travel and stay overnight when required.
  • Able to work well as part of a team as well as on own initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the development, planning, and delivery of annual Sight Village events, ensuring effective organisation, administration, and customer relationship management.
  • Support in exploring new income generation opportunities, including sponsorships, partnerships, and other potential funding sources
  • Attend and support all Sight Village events, including necessary overnight travel.
  • Produce and distribute high-quality digital and printed marketing materials for Sight Village events.
  • Collaborate with the QA Charity’s Marketing team on campaigns, advertising, and enhancing social media presence for Sight Village.
  • Support in producing external communications and seasonal e-catalogues to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Have excellent levels of written and oral communication with an ability to tailor communications to varying audiences.
  • Attend networking events to represent the service, build connections, and help identify potential opportunities for collaboration or engagement.
  • Assist in maintaining a GDPR-compliant communications database for external contacts.
  • Support accurate data collection, entry, and management in line with current data protection legislation.
  • Raise concerns or alert potential issues to ensure awareness and compliance.
