Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Engineer for its Bedhampton, Hampshire site. The role covers electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation and PLC-based systems.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and implement long-term fixes on Siemens PLC systems and related equipment. A strong background in hydraulics and interpreting schematics is essential.

Qualifications

Level 3 electrical or mechanical qualification or apprenticeship.
At least 3 years' experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
Good knowledge of hydraulics and fluid power systems.
Experience with PLC-controlled machinery, ideally Siemens.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical/hydraulic drawings.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on bespoke engineering equipment.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control-system faults.
Fault-find on Siemens PLC-controlled equipment, including hardware, I/O, configuration and control faults.
Identify root causes and implement effective, long-term solutions.
Work from electrical schematics, hydraulic circuit diagrams, mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
Test, repair, calibrate and replace electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components.
Fault-find on control panels, motors, sensors, switches, actuators, instrumentation and safety circuits.
