Job summary
Discover Recruitment in Carlisle, Cumbria is seeking a time-served Electrician to diagnose and repair faults on automated production machinery and carry out planned and reactive maintenance across plant systems. You will fault-find using PLC systems (Siemens), maintain motors and drives, read electrical drawings, and support upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
40 hours per week with multiple shift patterns.
Qualifications
- Time-served Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications.
- Industrial maintenance experience, ideally within manufacturing.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and PLC diagnostic skills.
- Experience with Siemens PLCs and motor drives is highly desirable.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and diagnose motor faults.
- 18th Edition qualification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated production machinery.
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Fault-find using PLC systems, including Siemens
- Maintain motors, drives, electrical distribution and control systems.
- Support machinery upgrades, installations and continuous improvement projects.
- Work closely with mechanical and electrical maintenance teams.
