Job summary

Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is seeking a professional Retail Support Security Officer to patrol Tesco stores across the Bury St Edmunds area and surrounding towns. You will provide a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires travel between locations, shifts 06:00–15:00 or 15:00–00:00, and a 36+ hour week. A valid SIA Licence and own transport are essential to access multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Security Licence.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Full 5-year checkable work history.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, confident, and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and sound judgement.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Own transport is essential.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling stores to ensure the safety of customers, colleagues, and premises.
• Acting as a visible deterrent to theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour.
• Monitoring store activity and responding appropriately to incidents.
• Supporting store colleagues in maintaining a safe retail environment.
• Completing accurate incident reports and documentation.
• Handling challenging situations calmly, confidently, and professionally.
• Delivering excellent customer service and assisting customers where required.
• Working across multiple Tesco locations to provide relief cover and operational support.
