Job summary

Angard Staffing is hiring Temporary Security Officers for Royal Mail during the Peak Season to protect a busy parcel hub. You will control access, conduct searches, and maintain site security while working within a large logistics environment.

The role requires a valid SIA Licence and prior security experience, with excellent communication and observation skills. It offers competitive pay with overtime during peak periods and temporary assignments ending after the Christmas season.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA Licence.
• Experience in security, gatehouse, or site-based roles is required.
• Experience conducting personal searches using search wands and scanners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Confident dealing with employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers.
• Excellent observation and attention to detail.
• Able to stay calm and effective in emergencies and challenging situations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional at all times.
• Strong adherence to procedures and meticulous records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and regulate entry and exit of people and vehicles.
• Carry out personal searches using search wands and randomisers.
• Conduct security patrols and routine site inspections.
• Identify and report security concerns or risks.
• Maintain accurate logs and security reports.
• Respond professionally to emergencies and incidents.
• Coordinate with site management on security matters.
• Ensure security policies are followed consistently.
