Job summary

Bristol Industrial is seeking an Onsite Security Officer for temporary coverage at a site in the UK. You will manage access control, visitor checks, CCTV monitoring and courier coordination while maintaining a safe, secure environment for staff and visitors. Availability for the full duration is essential, with varied shifts Mon-Sat for the first two weeks and Mon-Fri in the third week.

Candidates must hold Frontline SIA and SIA CCTV licences. First Aid certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Frontline SIA Licence is required.
• SIA CCTV Licence is required.
• First Aid Certificate is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors entering and leaving the site, ensuring sign-in/out on the site portal.
• Issue visitor passes and maintain accurate records of visits.
• Ensure site rules, security procedures and policies are followed at all times.
• Monitor and patrol the site, respond to security concerns and incidents.
• Proactively monitor CCTV and report suspicious activity.
• Manage courier activity and handover dispatches to couriers.
• Receive deliveries and direct them to the correct staff or location.
• Monitor staff arrival, breaks and departures, and report to management.
• Conduct site inspections to identify risks and implement preventative measures.
• Supervise contractors on site and enforce security procedures.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents and activities.
• Conduct investigations and prepare reports on breaches.
• Carry out authorised onsite searches as required.
• Undertake Fire Warden and First Aid duties when needed.

Onsite Security Officer

Location: Onsite, W3 6UU

Contract: Temporary

Dates: 16 November – 4 December (you must be available for the full duration)

Pay: £14.80 per hour

Working Pattern: Monday-Saturday for the first two weeks, Monday-Friday for the third week

We are looking for a professional and proactive Onsite Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, contractors and couriers.

You will be responsible for access control, visitor management, site patrols, CCTV monitoring, courier and delivery coordination, and responding promptly to security incidents and emergencies.

This is a hands-on role that requires someone who is approachable, observant and confident dealing with people and security situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors entering and leaving the site, ensuring all visitors are correctly checked in and out using the site portal.
• Issue visitor passes and maintain accurate records, ensuring passes are returned when visitors leave.
• Ensure site rules, security procedures and policies are consistently followed.
• Monitor and patrol the site, identifying and responding to security concerns or incidents.
• Proactively monitor CCTV and report any suspicious or unusual activity.
• Manage all courier activity onsite, ensuring dispatches are handed over to the appropriate couriers throughout the day.
• Receive deliveries, notify relevant staff and ensure packages are stored or unpacked in their designated locations.
• Monitor staff arrival, break and departure times and provide reports to management as required.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential security risks and work with management and Estate Security personnel to implement appropriate preventative measures.
• Supervise contractors while they are onsite, ensuring relevant security and site procedures are followed.
• Ensure all areas of the site remain safe and secure.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, disturbances and other security incidents.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of security-related incidents and activities.
• Conduct investigations into security breaches and prepare reports where required.
• Carry out authorised onsite searches in accordance with site procedures.
• Undertake Fire Warden and First Aid duties when required.

Essential RequirementsYou must hold a valid:

• SIA CCTV Licence

Desirable

• First Aid Certificate - desirable but not essential.
