Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Security Officer to join a busy client site in Greater Manchester on a temp contract through 31 December 2026, with a view to extension. You will protect people, property and assets while delivering a professional, approachable service to staff and visitors.

Key duties include patrols, access control, incident response and monitoring building systems. You must hold a valid SIA licence and have the right to work in the UK; BS7858 vetting may be required during

Qualifications

Right to work in the UK and BS7858 vetting requirement.
Valid SIA Licence.
Previous security experience beneficial.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain the safety and security of buildings, personnel, and visitors across the site.
Act as a first point of contact, providing a professional, friendly and helpful service.
Monitor fire, security and building management systems, responding to incidents.
Support a safe working environment by following Health & Safety policies and reporting hazards, damage, or defects.
Control access points, barriers, and support traffic management across the site.
Carry out regular patrols and ensure security procedures are consistently followed.
