Job summary

Vigilant is recruiting a Campus Security Officer for Fareham College to join a small, dedicated relief team. The mid-shift role covers 08:30–14:30, with potential extension to 08:00–16:00 and additional part-time bench hours for holiday cover.

A DS minimum SIA license and a presentable, professional demeanor are essential. Salary is £13.88 per hour, with a strong emphasis on visitor management, security awareness, and proactive service.

• Maintain a high security awareness at all times.
• Undertake patrols and inspections per management instructions.

• Ensure adherence to H&S policies.
• Prevent unauthorised persons from entering prohibited areas.
• Issue visitor passes using agreed processes.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents.
