Job summary

Vigilant is seeking a Campus Security Officer to join our Bench Team in the Southampton area. The role covers full-time and part-time shifts including holiday cover, with a site-dependent pay rate of £13.88–£15.08 per hour.

The successful candidate will provide a courteous, professional service to visitors, maintain security vigilance, and adhere to health and safety policies while upholding company standards. SIA DS minimum license and a valid driving licence are desirable attributes.

Qualifications

• SIA license required with DS minimum.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional presentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a prompt, polite welcome to all visitors.
• Maintain high security awareness and perform regular patrols.
• Report incidents and communicate arrivals to the relevant person.
