Octavius Infrastructure in the South West is recruiting a SHW Advisor to support the Regional Civil Engineering (RCE) unit on live projects across the region.

You will provide specialist Safety, Health and Wellbeing advice on sites and offices, lead investigations, audits and risk assessments, and contribute to SHW communications and planning. Hybrid working is available with essential licences and qualifications.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate minimum required.
• CSCS Card and Tech IOSH membership preferred.
• Environmental awareness and investigation training beneficial.
• GCSE Maths and English (Level 4+).
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Experience in civil/construction sectors (1+ year).
• Strong knowledge of SHW management systems and practice.
• Experience in incident investigations, audits and reporting.

Responsabilités

• Supporting the delivery of SHW strategy across RCE projects.
• Advising, coaching and challenging operational teams to embed best practice.
• Monitoring SHW performance, analysing trends and driving improvement.
• Leading accident and incident investigations and ensuring lessons are learned.
• Facilitating audits, inspections and assurance reviews (ISO 45001/14001/9001, RISQS).
• Attending project and client meetings, representing Octavius on SHW matters.
• Contributing to SHW communications such as STOPThink briefs and safety stand-downs.
• Providing proactive SHW input during pre-delivery and planning stages.
