Job summary

Hyreus in Swindon is seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join a leading civil engineering organisation. You will provide professional H&S advice across multiple departments, supporting development and implementation of standards, policies and procedures.

Based primarily in the office, you will conduct audits, RAMS, incident investigations and training, ensure compliance with UK legislation, and report to management with actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent with knowledge of UK H&S legislation.
• Experience supporting multiple departments within a large/complex organisation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills engaging diverse teams.
• Organised, proactive and capable of working independently.
• Based within a commutable distance of Swindon and office-based.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional health and safety advice across all departments.
• Develop and implement effective H&S standards, policies and procedures.
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Support RAMS, safe systems of work, incident investigations and risk management.
• Deliver H&S briefings and training, promoting a positive safety culture.
• Maintain accurate H&S records and provide reports to management.
