Brighton & Hove City Council is recruiting an HSW Advisor to support Health, Safety and Wellbeing across a range of services. You will advise staff and managers, influence safety culture and drive improvements in safety management.

The post involves collaboration with fire safety, water safety and premises teams, with opportunities for line management and professional development. Hybrid working and a 37-hour week are available.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Health and Safety professional in large or complex organisations.
• Ability to research topics and provide tailored advice on diverse hazards.
• Experience leading inspections and audits with written action plans.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team of professionals.
• Desire to develop into team management roles.
• Ability to analyse safety performance and accident data to identify trends.

Aufgaben

• Provide advice and guidance to varied council services on Health, Safety and Wellbeing.
• Drive a positive safety culture across directorates and support services.
• Carry out assurance activities, develop written information and deliver training.
• Work with specialists in fire safety, water safety and premises management.
• Manage own time and workloads while supporting junior staff and coaching.
