Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking experienced Shuttering Carpenters to join our team on the HS2 Old Oak Common Project. You will work on one of the UK\'s largest building projects, contributing to formwork for columns, walls, beams and precast units.

Qualifications

• Proven shuttering carpentry experience on large-scale builds.
• Skilled with hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and instructions.
• Work safely at height outdoors with good balance.
• Capable of manual handling and physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Construct and install formwork for columns, walls, beams, soffits, kickers, and precast units.
• Follow approved site procedures and safe working methods.
• Work with timber and standard formwork systems on site.

Pay Rate

• £23.20 per hour

Key Duties

• Work safely with timber and standard formwork systems.
• Build and install formwork for:
  • Columns
  • Walls
  • Beams
  • Soffits
  • Kickers
  • Pre-cast units
• Follow approved safe working methods and site procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work precisely to line and level with high tolerances.
• Able to read and follow drawings and written instructions.
• Capable of carrying out manual handling and physical tasks safely.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Happy working outdoors and at height.
