Job summary

Ballycommon is seeking an experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join our Oxford team. The role requires a strong background in shuttering and formwork, with a track record on large RC frame projects. You must have carpentry experience, CSCS card, and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities include constructing and dismantling shuttering, reading drawings, material preparation, quality checks, and safe on-site practices. Competitive CIS or Umbrella PAYE rates apply.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid CSCS Card.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Be physically fit for duties on a construction site.

• Previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter.

• Shuttering and Formwork: construct and dismantle shuttering and formwork for concrete structures with precision.
• Reading Drawings: interpret technical drawings and ensure accurate measurements and alignments.
• Material Handling: select and prepare materials for shuttering and formwork.
• Quality Assurance: inspect completed work against standards and make necessary adjustments.
• Health and Safety: follow on-site safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Role Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Shuttering Carpenters to join our team in Oxford. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in shuttering and formwork carpentry, with a proven track record of working on large-scale RC frame projects. You must have good experience in carpentry and core work.

Key Responsibilities

• Shuttering and Formwork: Construct and dismantle shuttering and formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and compliance with project specifications.
• Reading Drawings: Interpret and work from technical drawings, ensuring that all measurements and alignments are accurate.
• Material Handling: Select and prepare the appropriate materials for shuttering and formwork, ensuring they are ready for concrete pouring.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, making adjustments as necessary to achieve the best results.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
