Job summary

GXO Rugby site is seeking a dedicated Shunter Driver to support the Haier Contract. This full-time permanent role offers a 14:00–22:00 shift, any 5 out of 7, with yards and trailers prepared for loading and unloading.

You will safely manoeuvre trailers and containers, perform daily vehicle checks, and maintain yard organisation while collaborating with warehouse, transport and site teams to uphold health and safety standards. We provide forklift training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• EU driving licence with C+E entitlement
• Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 2 years driving and/or shunting experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No endorsements with a conviction date within the last 5 years (DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC, TT99)

Responsibilities

• Position trailers and vehicles for loading/unloading and maintain yard organisation
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks and report defects promptly
• Coordinate with warehouse, transport and site teams to ensure safety procedures and operational requirements
• Operate counterbalance forklift equipment when required (full training provided)

Skills

2+ years experience

Clean licence (≤6 points)
